01AMD Catalyst Drivers 到底能做什麼？我裝了之後會有什麼差別？

它是 AMD 官方為 Radeon 顯示卡設計的驅動程式套件，主要工作是讓 Windows 7/8 64 位元系統能正確辨識並發揮顯示卡效能。裝了之後，最基本的差別是解析度可以正常調整、字體不再模糊，遊戲和影片的畫面流暢度也會回到顯示卡該有的水準。它還包含 AMD 的控制面板，可以調整 3D 效能選項、抗鋸齒、紋理過濾等設定。

02這套軟體支援哪些顯示卡？我的是舊卡，怕裝了不能用。

根據官方說明，它支援的範圍很廣，從 Radeon HD 7700/7900 系列一路涵蓋到 RX 500 系列，包括 R7 200/300 系列、R9 200/300 系列、R9 Fury 系列、R9 Nano、Radeon Pro Duo 等。如果你的卡是這些系列之一，理論上都可以用。但要注意，它只支援 64 位元的 Windows 7 和 8，32 位元系統或 Windows 10/11 都不在支援範圍內。

03除了讓畫面正常顯示，它還有什麼附加功能？

它內建了 Radeon ReLive，可以錄製遊戲畫面、直播、截圖，還有一個遊戲中工具列可以快速調整設定。另外也支援多螢幕輸出、HDMI 音效傳輸、GPU 溫度與風扇轉速監控，以及內建的顯示卡超頻工具。對一般使用者來說，這些功能不是必須，但如果你有錄影或直播需求，就不用另外裝第三方軟體。

04安裝過程會不會很複雜？我對電腦不太熟。

官方說明提到安裝過程有精靈輔助，照著步驟點下一步就能完成。安裝前建議先把舊的顯示驅動移除乾淨，避免衝突。裝完之後重開機，系統就會自動抓到新的驅動。如果你之前從沒裝過顯示卡驅動，這個過程不會比安裝一般軟體困難，但要注意下載時選對 64 位元版本，別抓成 32 位元的。

05它跟 AMD 後來出的 Adrenalin 驅動有什麼不同？

這套 Catalyst Drivers 是 AMD 在 2020 年之前針對 Windows 7/8 系統提供的最後幾個版本之一，後續的 Adrenalin 系列主要服務 Windows 10/11。如果你的系統是 Windows 7/8 64 位元，Adrenalin 新版驅動不一定能裝，這套 Catalyst 反而是比較合適的選擇。但它的更新已經停止，不會再有新功能或最佳化。

06我還在用 Windows 7，這套軟體適合我嗎？

如果你的電腦是 Windows 7 64 位元，而且顯示卡是 Radeon HD 7000 系列以後的型號，這套驅動就是 AMD 官方最後有支援你系統的版本之一。裝了之後可以解決解析度、遊戲效能、多螢幕等基本問題。但要注意，Windows 7 本身已停止安全更新，裝了驅動也不代表系統就安全，這點要自己衡量。

07我是遊戲玩家，這套驅動對遊戲效能有幫助嗎？

它支援 DirectX 和 OpenGL，遊戲相容性沒問題，也能調整 3D 效能選項來提升幀數。但它的最佳化停留在 2020 年之前的水準，近年新出的遊戲可能沒有針對它做效能調校。如果你玩的是那幾年發行的遊戲，表現會比較好；如果是近兩三年的新作，可能跑得動但不會有最佳化效果，這點要有心理準備。

08我已經在用 Windows 10，這套軟體適合我嗎？

不適合。它的支援系統只寫了 Windows 7 64 位元，官方說明雖然提到「任何版本的 Windows 都能安裝」，但實際上它是針對 Windows 7/8 64 位元設計的版本。Windows 10 使用者應該去 AMD 官網下載 Adrenalin 系列驅動，那才是為新系統準備的版本。硬裝這套舊驅動，可能裝不上，也可能裝了之後系統不穩定。

09這套軟體已經很久沒更新了，還值得裝嗎？

它的版本紀錄顯示最後一次更新是 2020 年 1 月，之後就沒有新版本。對 Windows 7/8 使用者來說，這不是「值不值得」的問題，而是「有沒有其他選擇」的問題——AMD 官方已經不再為舊系統推出新驅動，這套就是最後的版本。如果你需要的是穩定能用的驅動，它仍然可以勝任；但如果你期待新功能或新遊戲最佳化，它做不到。

10它有中文介面嗎？我英文不好，怕看不懂設定。

官方功能說明是英文的，但 AMD 的驅動控制面板通常會跟隨系統語言顯示，如果你的 Windows 7 是中文版，控制面板介面一般也會是中文。不過這點沒有在資料中明確標示，建議安裝後實際看看，如果介面是英文，可以到 AMD 官網確認是否有中文語言包，或者用線上翻譯對照著操作。

11我聽說 AMD 驅動有分「Crimson」和「Catalyst」，這兩個有什麼差別？

官方說明中這套軟體的全名是 AMD Radeon Crimson ReLive Edition，Catalyst 是 AMD 驅動的舊稱，Crimson 是後來改用的名稱，兩者指的是同一系列的驅動軟體。你看到的「AMD Catalyst Drivers」是收錄網站用的分類名稱，實際安裝後控制面板顯示的會是 Radeon Software。不需要太在意名稱，重點是確認版本對應你的系統和顯示卡。

12這套軟體跟 WinDVD Pro、UMPlayer 這些軟體有什麼關係？我該選哪個？

這些軟體被列在「功能相近」的比較清單裡，但它們其實是不同類型的工具。WinDVD Pro 是影音播放軟體，UMPlayer 是多媒體播放器，而 AMD Catalyst Drivers 是顯示卡驅動程式，負責讓系統正確使用 GPU。如果你只是要看影片，播放器就夠了；但如果你玩遊戲或需要調整顯示設定，驅動程式才是你需要的東西。兩者不是替代關係，可以同時安裝。

- Provides fast JPEG decompression
- Provides Power Efficiency for JPEG decompression

RESOLVED ISSUES:
- 60Hz SST flickering has been identified as an issue with non-standard display timings exhibited by the AOC U2868PQU panel on certain AMD Radeon graphics cards. A software workaround has been implemented in the AMD Catalyst 14.9 driver to resolve the display timing issues with this display
- Users seeing flickering issues in 60Hz SST mode are further encouraged to obtain newer display firmware from their monitor vendor that will resolve flickering at its origin.
- Users are additionally advised to utilize DisplayPort-certified cables to ensure the integrity of the DisplayPort data connection.
- 4K panel flickering issues found on the AMD Radeon R9 290 Series and AMD Radeon HD 7800 Series
- Screen tearing observed on AMD CrossFire systems with Eyefinity portrait display configurations
- Instability issues for Grid Autosport when running in 2x1 or 1x2 Eyefinity configurations
- Geometry corruption in State of Decay

- [404829]: Horizontal flashing lines on second screen in a clone mode with V-Sync on using AMD Mobility Graphics with Switchable Intel Graphics
- [404508]: Display takes a long time to redraw the screen after an S4 cycle
- [405432]: Mantle driver will TDR when running Star Swarm on the loading screen
- [404660]: GPU gets stuck in a low power state after it was previously stressed to max power
- [403032]: Severe flickering observed on default launch of SimCity 4
- [403449]: Playing any media sample in full screen in the 2x1/1x2 Fill SLS configuration leads to TDR
- [400573]: Intermittent application hang observed while launching Aliens vs. Predator
- [400693]: While running performance test, crash is observed with fault module atidxx32.dll
- [401386]: Severe corruption and flashing light observed with specific game settings in Grid 2
- [401289]: Flashing lights in Batman Arkham Origins game main menu
