介面只有英文的 SMPlayer，能取代你現在的播放器嗎

你剛從網路上下載了一部電影，副檔名是 MKV，打開電腦裡內建的播放器，畫面一片黑，只有聲音沒有影像。你換了另一個播放器，這次有影像了，但字幕時間軸完全對不上，講話跟嘴型差了兩秒。你只是想好好看一部片，卻得在播放器、解碼包、字幕軟體之間來回切換，最後火大關掉視窗。
一般人遇到這種狀況，第一個念頭是去下載解碼包，或者多裝兩三套播放器輪流試。但解碼包裝了一堆東西，常常跟系統裡其他軟體打架；多裝播放器也只是把問題搬來搬去，這套能播 AVI 卻不能播 MKV，那套能播 MKV 字幕卻不同步。這類工具的切入點，是讓播放器本身直接內建各種格式的支援，不用另外裝東裝西，同時把字幕、音軌、播放速度這些細節設定放在同一個介面裡，一次調到位。
01SMPlayer 能播哪些格式？要另外裝解碼包嗎？
根據官方說明，SMPlayer 基於 MPlayer 和 MPV 引擎，宣稱幾乎能處理所有常見與冷門的影音格式，包括 MP4、AVI 這類常見格式，也支援高畫質內容，而且不需要額外安裝解碼包。不過官方文件沒有列出完整的格式清單，如果你有特定冷門格式的需求，建議直接抓一個檔案試播看看最準。
02它可以直接看 YouTube 嗎？還是要另外開瀏覽器？
可以。SMPlayer 內建 YouTube 整合功能，在播放器介面裡就能搜尋並播放 YouTube 影片，不用另外開瀏覽器。官方也提到，透過額外的外掛或自訂設定，可以支援其他串流平台，但預設主要還是以 YouTube 為主。如果你平常主要看的是 Netflix 或 Disney+ 這類有版權保護的平台，這套軟體幫不上忙。
03字幕時間對不上，它能調嗎？
可以。SMPlayer 支援載入多種格式的字幕檔，而且可以調整字型大小、顏色，以及最重要的字幕延遲時間。在「Subtitles」選單裡可以設定延遲，讓字幕跟影片同步。如果你常抓的字幕檔時間軸老是跑掉，這功能可以直接解決，不用另外找字幕編輯軟體。
04播放到一半關掉，下次要從哪裡繼續？
SMPlayer 會記住每個檔案上次播放到的位置。你看到一半關掉視窗，下次再開同一個檔案，它會問你要不要從上次的地方繼續播。這對看長片或影集很實用，不用自己記看到哪裡，也不用手動快轉找位置。
05介面可以改嗎？還是固定長那樣？
介面可以改。SMPlayer 支援更換皮膚和圖示主題，你可以到「Options」底下的「Preferences」去換外觀。工具列也可以自訂，只顯示你常用的按鈕。另外它可以在 MPlayer 和 MPV 兩種播放引擎之間切換，在「Preferences」的「General」分頁裡就能選，這對進階使用者來說是滿實用的調整空間。
06我英文不好，介面只有英文會不會很難用？
官方說明提到這套軟體支援超過 30 種語言，但這份資料的介面語系欄位標示為 English，所以不確定實際安裝後有沒有繁體中文可以選。如果你對英文介面不熟悉，建議先到官方網站確認目前版本有沒有提供中文語系，或者直接安裝試用看看。播放器的主要操作按鈕通常不難認，但進階設定的選單還是需要一點英文基礎。
07我電腦很舊，跑得動嗎？
官方列出的系統需求是 Windows 7/8/10/11、1 GHz 以上處理器、512 MB 記憶體、100 MB 儲存空間。以現在的標準來看，這個需求算很低，一般老電腦應該都跑得動。不過實際播放高畫質影片時的流暢度，還是取決於你電腦的硬體效能和影片本身的規格，官方文件沒有保證特定解析度的播放效能。
08我習慣用 PotPlayer，換過來會差很多嗎？
PotPlayer 在資料中的評分人數是 821 人，SMPlayer 是 396 人，PotPlayer 的使用者基數比較大。兩套都是功能完整的播放器，但 PotPlayer 的介面是中文的，SMPlayer 目前標示為英文介面。如果你已經習慣 PotPlayer 的設定和操作邏輯，換到 SMPlayer 需要重新適應選單位置和設定方式。如果你只是偶爾遇到 PotPlayer 播不了的檔案，留著兩套並用也是一種做法。
09我只看 YouTube 跟 Netflix，需要這種播放器嗎？
如果你看 Netflix 或 YouTube 都是在瀏覽器裡看，那 SMPlayer 對你來說用處不大。它內建的 YouTube 功能是讓你在播放器裡搜尋和播放，但 Netflix 這類有 DRM 保護的串流服務，它無法播放。這套軟體的主要用途還是播放本機的影音檔案，如果你幾乎不抓檔案下來看，那它對你來說就是多餘的。
10它跟 VLC 比起來如何？我該換嗎？
官方文件在 Alternatives 段落提到 VLC 是另一套知名的開源播放器，也支援多種格式，但沒有進一步比較兩者的差異。SMPlayer 的切入點是基於 MPlayer/MPV 引擎，而 VLC 有自己的核心。如果你目前用 VLC 用得好好的，沒有遇到什麼問題，就沒有必要換。如果你在 VLC 上遇到字幕同步或格式支援的問題，可以試試 SMPlayer 看能不能解決。
11它多久更新一次？會不會放著不管？
根據版本紀錄，SMPlayer 從 2007 年開始收錄版本，最近一次更新在 2026 年 8 月，近 12 個月更新 2 次，近 24 個月也是 2 次。以這個頻率來看，它算是持續在維護的軟體，不是放著不管的專案。不過更新頻率不算高，如果你追求的是每週都有新功能的那種開發節奏，這套軟體可能不符合你的期待。
12我常看藍光原盤，它能播嗎？
官方 FAQ 明確回答可以播放藍光光碟，但需要額外設定，而且取決於藍光光碟的加密狀況。也就是說，不是裝了就能直接播，可能得自己研究一下設定。如果你主要是看藍光原盤，建議先確認你的光碟機和藍光加密狀況，再決定要不要用這套。官方文件沒有提供詳細的設定步驟，這部分需要自己摸索。

What's new in this version:
Support for 2 in 1 computers with touch screens:
- SMPlayer includes now a 'tablet mode', available in the menu Options. When the option is turned on it makes some changes in the interface so that it would be easier to control SMPlayer by touching the screen.
- the size of windows and fonts are increased
- sliding vertically in the video changes the volume, sliding horizontally seeks in the video
- tapping while in fullscreen displays the floating control
- When the user changes the tablet mode in the Windows 10 action center, SMPlayer will detect it and ask if it should switch to the SMPlayer's tablet mode as well.
Send video to an external screen:
- Now it's possible to send the video to a second screen connected to the computer, while controlling the application in the computer's screen.
- There's a new option in the menu Video: send video to screen. It shows a submenu with all connected screens.
- One of the screens is labeled as 'primary screen', which is the computer's screen. If you send the video to another screen the video will be displayed on that screen in fullscreen mode. The SMPlayer interface will remain in the computer's screen where you can control the video (seek, change volume, subtitles, playlist, open another video, etc.) while the video is displayed on the second screen. If you send the video to the primary screen the video will be re-attached to the SMPlayer window.
- Note this feature requires the desktop to be set as 'extended'.
Support for high DPI screens:
- On high DPI (dots per inch) screens SMPlayer looked very tiny. Now the interface is automatically scaled so it looks correctly. There are also settings in Preferences -> Interface -> High DPI where you can adjust manually the scale factor or turn off this feature.
Global shortcuts:
- Now it's possible to use the media keys (play/pause, stop, volume+/-, etc.) as global shortcuts. That means that those keys will work even when SMPlayer is in the background. You can activate this option in Preferences -> Keyboard and mouse.
- Settings are remembered for online streams too:
- This means that, for example, SMPlayer can resume playback or set bookmarks on YouTube videos or other online streams (as long as they are seekable).
Other changes in SMPlayer 16.6:
- New themes: Masalla, Papirus and PapirusDark.
- Built by default with Qt 5.
