你手上那台舊電腦跑不太動新版 Office，開個 Word 要等半天，偏偏工作或學校作業又非得用 .docx 和 .xlsx 不可。你聽說 Office 2016 有 32 位元版，裝在舊機器上比較不吃資源，但又不確定它跟現在用的檔案格式合不合、會不會裝了之後一堆功能鎖住，於是卡在「想裝又不敢裝」的狀態。
一般人遇到這種狀況，直覺是去抓最新版 Office 來裝，但舊電腦的處理器和記憶體往往撐不住；要不然就是改用免費的文書軟體，卻又怕開到複雜格式時版面跑掉。這類舊版 Office 的切入點，其實是讓你在不升級硬體的前提下，繼續用熟悉的介面開關日常文件——只是授權怎麼來、英文介面能不能接受、更新還有沒有在維護，這些都得先搞清楚再動手。
01Microsoft Office 32-bit 到底能做些什麼？
它是一套包含 Word、Excel、PowerPoint、Outlook、OneNote、Access 和 Publisher 的辦公室套裝軟體，主要用來處理文書、試算表、簡報、電子郵件和筆記。Word 有即時協作和 Tell Me 指令搜尋，Excel 多了 Treemap、瀑布圖等新圖表，PowerPoint 有 Morph 轉場效果。支援 Windows XP 到 Windows 11，介面是英文，官方說明提到可搭配雲端存取文件，但實際雲端功能比後續版本精簡。
02它跟現在的新版 Office 差在哪？
這套是 Office 2016 世代，比 Office 2019 和 Microsoft 365 舊。主要差異在雲端功能較少，即時協作和線上儲存雖然有，但沒有新版那麼完整。官方資料也說，部分進階功能和格式在舊版 Office 中可能無法完全相容。如果你只需要基本的文書、試算表和簡報功能，差異感受不大；但若依賴較新的協作或雲端功能，就會覺得缺東缺西。
03舊電腦跑得動嗎？
官方列出的系統需求是 Windows 7 以上、1 GHz 或更快的處理器、2 GB 記憶體、3 GB 可用磁碟空間、1280 x 800 以上的螢幕解析度。以 32 位元版本來說，對硬體的要求不算高，符合這些條件的舊電腦通常可以順跑。不過實際效能還是取決於你開的檔案大小和同時開啟的程式數量，建議先確認記憶體至少有 2 GB，否則開大型 Excel 檔可能會卡。
04它能開舊版 Office 的檔案嗎？
可以。官方 FAQ 明確說，這套軟體能開啟和編輯舊版 Office 的文件，但部分進階功能和格式可能無法完全相容。如果要把檔案分享給使用更舊版本的人，建議存成相容格式或使用相容模式。換句話說，你手上既有的 .doc、.xls、.ppt 檔案都能開，只是遇到太複雜的排版或特效時，顯示可能會跑掉。
05它能離線使用嗎？
可以。官方 FAQ 說，沒有網路連線時依然能使用 Office 2016 的基本功能，包括開啟、編輯和建立文件。但即時協作、線上儲存這類功能需要網路才能運作。如果你平常都是單人作業、不需要同步到雲端，離線使用完全沒問題；但若習慣把檔案放 OneDrive 或跟同事同時編輯，就必須保持連線。
06英文介面會不會很難用？
這套軟體的介面語系是 English，沒有內建繁體中文介面。如果你對 Office 的功能位置已經很熟，英文介面影響不大，因為選單和按鈕位置跟中文版差不多；但若你是第一次接觸 Office，或對英文不熟悉，操作上會多一層障礙。官方資料沒有提到能否另外安裝語言包，這點需要自行確認。
07現在還有辦法買到嗎？
官方定價資訊指出，MS 2016 已經不再直接從 Microsoft 販售，只能找二手授權，或改用訂閱制的 Microsoft 365。也就是說，你不太可能從官方管道買到全新的 Office 2016 授權。如果不想訂閱，可以考慮找二手授權，但要留意來源是否可靠，以及授權是否合法轉讓。
08跟免費的 WPS Office 比，選哪個比較好？
兩者定位不同。這套 Office 有 3014 人評分、7.6 分，WPS Office Free 有 811 人評分，分數相近但樣本數較少。這套的優勢是與 Office 檔案格式的相容性較高，且功能完整；WPS 免費版則省去授權成本，但可能會有廣告或部分進階功能需要付費。如果你預算有限、只開簡單文件，WPS 可以考慮；若常處理複雜格式或需要 Outlook、Access 這類工具，這套較完整。
09授權到期之後還能用嗎？
官方 FAQ 說，授權到期後會失去進階功能，仍能開啟和檢視文件，但編輯和建立新文件可能會受到限制。也就是說，到期後不是完全不能用，而是變成「只能看不能改」的狀態。如果你只是要讀取舊檔案，到期後還能應急；但若要繼續編輯，就得續約或換新版本。
10它還會更新嗎？
根據收錄的版本紀錄，這套軟體近 12 個月更新 0 次，近 24 個月只有 1 次，更新頻率已經很低。官方也說 MS 2016 已不再直接銷售，代表微軟的維護重心已轉移到 Microsoft 365。如果你在意安全性更新或新功能，這套可能不適合；但若只是要穩定使用基本功能，不更新也不影響日常運作。
11什麼樣的人不該選這套軟體？
三種情況不建議：第一，你需要中文介面，這套只有英文，對英文不熟會卡關。第二，你依賴雲端協作或最新功能，這套的雲端能力比新版精簡，即時協作也有限。第三，你希望有持續更新和技術支援，這套已接近停止維護，官方也不再販售。另外，如果你只是偶爾開個文件、不想花錢，免費的 WPS Office Free 或 LibreOffice 可能更符合需求。
